mIRC Scripting

mIRC: Scripting Language

mIRC is a shareware Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client for Windows. mIRC is one of the most popular IRC clients. The client has a fully functional chat utility as well as an integrated scripting language.

mIRC Scripting Language is a scripting language embedded inside the mIRC client. Although widely used to make bots to automatically manage a channel, it can also be used to create: basic games, small functions, play music, and even small applications. mIRC scripts are stored in plain text files (.mrc) or as INI files.

So what’s IRC?

Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a form of real-time Internet chat or synchronous conferencing. IRC is mainly designed for large groups of people to meet and talk in discussion rooms called channels (or Chat Rooms). IRC also allows one-to-one communication as well as data transfers via private messages (PM). For the most part IRC is simply an advanced chat room in which people can interact.
